Our Mission and Vision

The mission of Building Equitable Housing, Inc. (BEH) is to transform underserved and under-resourced communities by providing safe, affordable, and equitable housing options that promote economic and social development through homeownership.
Vision Statement
The vision of Building Equitable Housing, Inc. is three-fold: to Educate, Empower, and Elevate
-
We will educate current and future community members in our service areas on how creating equal access to safe and affordable housing strengthens communities and families for generations. Homeownership classes, professional and personal development programs will be offered through the (future) Building Equitable Housing Inc. Community Resource Center.
-
We will empower current and future community members in our service areas to become homeowners by providing housing options that are both cost-effective and culturally competent.
-
We will elevate the importance of equitable and affordable housing options for underserved and under-resourced communities through our housing initiatives that will promote economic and social development in underserved communities.
Our Board
Our board members at Building Equitable Housing, Inc. share a common thread: they all experienced social-economic adversity but worked hard to overcome their challenges. They know firsthand what it’s like to struggle to find safe, affordable housing, and they want to make a change. That’s why they are committed to finding innovative solutions to the housing crisis, one that’s based on providing everyone with a decent place to live. By collaborating with public and private agencies, homeowners, developers, and residents, they aim to create prosperous and equitable communities that can thrive for generations to come.
